Ankara ve Laterna: Keyifli, temiz ve leziz

Kimilerine göre sıkıcı, kimilerine göre sıradan memur kenti. Ben izlenimim ise, Ankara hem büyük şehrin nimetlerinden faydalanıp, hem de sakin bir hayat sürdürülebilecek bir yer. Son yıllarda Ankara’ya hep resmi işler için kısacık ziyaretler yaptım; konferans, sınav, mülakat…

Son seferde ise çok sevdiğim eski bir dost beni Laterna’ya götürdü. Şipşirin, çok zevkli, canlı müzikli ama yine de sakin kalmayı başaran bir yer. Yunanlıların taverna dedikleri yerlerden… Uzun, derin, neşeli muhabbetler için ideal!

Menü ve ortam Ankara ile fikirlerimi doğrulattı: Şehrin ortasında Akdeniz’den bir köşe bulmak mümkün, Akdeniz’in tadı, tuzu, sohbeti, müziği Laterna’da J

Biz roka salatası, meze olarak humus, deniz börülcesi ve fener balığı söyledik. Ortamın sıcaklığından, sohbetin koyuluğundan sanırsam, ben bir ufak birayla, G. suyla (evet H2O) çakır keyif olmayı başardık.

Fiyatlar da makul, lezzetler ortalama üzeri. Ben hem çok güzel vakit geçirdiğimden, hem Akdeniz mutfağından olan zaafımdan, hem de samimi ortamından ötürü Laterna’yı çok sevdim.

Ankara and Laterna: Cosy, neat and delicious

 

For some, Ankara is a boring and ordinary town of civil servants. My impression has always been that it is a place where one can enjoy the benefits of the big city and pursue a non-chaotic life style. Lately, I kept paying short visits to Ankara usually for work related purposes: conferences, interviews, exams…

During my last visit, a beloved old friend took me to Laterna, a Greek tavern. It is the cutest place with elegant decoration, live music at the corner yet, calm enough to engage in deep conversations.

The menu and the ambiance confirmed my feeling about Ankara. It is possible to find a Mediterranean corner in the centre of the city. Laterna has the genuine Mediterranean corner in Ankara with Mediterranean touch in taste, soul, music and joy.

We ordered rocket salad, humus and a sort of pickle weed [börülce], the angler stew as main dish. The ambiance was so cosy and our chatting was so deep that we both felt tipsy, I after a small beer and G. with tap water simply. 

The prices were ok and the taste above average. I really loved Laterna not only because I had good time there or I deeply enjoy Mediterranean food in general about all of them, plus the cosy ambiance felt so great.
